EUNIS is a nonprofit association which aims at promoting exchanges, cooperation and debates about the use of information tecnology in the European Higher Education and Research world.
The current membership includes about 150 organization members, from more than 30 countries in Europe and outside the EU. EUNIS activities and meetings offer a unique opportunity to share experiences with IT professionals from higher education from several countries, to attend presentations on topics relevant to the current issues in ICT, to develop the personal network of academic specialists and decision makers.
Cineca is a nonprofit Consortium, made up of 37 Italian Universities, 1 research institute, the National Research Council and the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Today it is the largest Italian supercomputing centre, one of the most important worldwide. Since the 1990's CINECA has been designing information systems for the management of the main University administrative areas (Students, Research, Finance, HR ..). The Consortium owns a company called Kion which is focused on developing Student Systems integrated in its application suite.
